Differences{Dreamstar}

Light. Darkness.
Life. Death.
Beginning. Ending.
Eternity. Never.
Let the rain fall until light turns into darkness. Let it fall so life can fade into death. Let it start so a beginning can become an ending. Let it enter our world so our eternity, can be never.
Let the green places grow wild and free. Let the sky turn crimson in colour, and the ground be covered in it's blood. So the leaves may mesh together into a powerful sequence. The rivers overflowing. Let there be stampedes of animals, let there be flight above. Let the world become washed clean. But why does all this happen, if it will all be covered in merciless water? Merciless blood?
Let the rain fall until light turns into darkness. Let it fall so life can fade into death. Let it start so a beginning can become an ending. Let it enter our world so our eternity, can be never.
Destruction is the objective now. The ground is dark, the sky colourless with nothing more than gray.  Trees are bare from their beauty, and rivers are dry. Animals are unseen, and flight is gone, maybe forever? The world is covered in crime, in dirt. But why does all this happen, if it will all be covered in a rejoice? In help?
Let the rain fall until light turns into darkness. Let it fall so life can fade into death. Let it start so a beginning can become an ending. Let it enter our world so our eternity, can be never.

 Let the rain fall until light turns into darkness. Let it fall so life can fade into death. Let it start so a beginning can become an ending. Let it enter our world so our eternity, can be never...

Winter Sunrise {Izori}

WINTER SUNRISE
(c) Izori

The frost air is still
And the grass is glazed
Dead leaves lie where flowers raised
their joyful heads.
But in the middle of winter
All is dead.

The world is waiting
For something every day
it sees.
And then the moment comes!

Magical, graceful, still
A golden beam cuts the winter air
And the sun comes
over the white hill.

The Candle in the Window {Izori}

THE CANDLE IN THE WINDOW
(c) Izori

When I waited for you alone,
I set a candle on the window,
Its light is lonely on its own
As I sat and thought of you.

You are late, but you will come,
And see my little candle shining.
If you know that I'm at home
You will bring your smile too.

Fading Memories {(copyright) Swirly Girl}

Ah, nostalgia... Welcome back, my old friend.

No more crumpled photos,
of good times on the beach,
no more frozen memories,
of times we cannot reach.

No longer can we say "hello",
to those who passed away.
Instead, we wait in wonder,
for the day we shout "hooray!".

Ripped, tattered diaries,
of times once well-known,
of times when a broken Barbie doll,
was all we ever told.

Forgotten songs and poems,
recited in grade one,
when princesses with bright blue eyes
and unicorns were fun.

No more days of longing,
of standing in the rain,
because - who knows? - one day we may
relive them all again.

Fading memories...

In No-Man's-Land, In Flanders {Izori}

Lest we forget...

IN NO-MAN'S-LAND, IN FLANDERS

(c) Izori

Another shell, another dead,

Just one in thousands in Flanders.

None to mourn, just fields of red

Wave, the poppies, to mark a soldier’s bed,

In no-man’s-land, in Flanders.

The sky is black with streaks of flame,

Down in no-man’s-land, in Flanders.

The ground bare, like hell, they said

And later the poppies there were as red

As the blood shed in Flanders.

Some were marked by wooden crosses,

The dead on the field in Flanders.

All had the poppies, the red,

To tell the world, “We died and bled

For our land, in no-man’s-land, in Flanders.”

Happy Veterans Day! God bless all the troops who laid down their lives so that our country is free today.

So Alone {Swirly Girl}

I'm...confused. I feel depression and sorrow and grief and loss and longing.

Ah, longing.

My heart it's being ripped to shreds and every time I take a breath it hurts like crazy like I'm crazy like we're all crazy.

I'm drowning, drowning in silent, invisible tears that cannot be cried from human eyes. I put a fake smile on my Play-Doh face and then rip it off when no one is looking. Inside, I'm a crumpled heap of memories from a place I no longer belong to.

For one fleeting moment, everything was okay again. Not fully patched up, but I was content enough in this lifetime of permanant sadness. For that one blink, I was content, a pulsing, glowing light, and to end it all again, I became a firework of colors because of a heartbeat in the blink, so...amazing, loving, unforgetable, the only moment that can be found between two people who put all the good things together.

And then I burned out into a weak, flickering light, and I'm dead again, dead again, dead again. I'm lost. Lost and alone.

So alone...

I wrote this in the airport. Guess what that "fleeting moment between two people" is...
